What is hardie plank?

• Hardie plank is a durable fiber-cement siding that has the use of lasting through extreme weather conditions and temperatures.  It's very versatile and strong, and can mimic the appearance of wood. 

How do I paint hardie plank?

1. Pressure wash to make sure it's cleared of dirt and other unwanted contaminants.

2. Spot priming on areas that don't have anything for paint to adhere to.

3. It's recommended to use a latex paint, preferably acrylic latex. If you don't, you can experience:

• loss of adhesion, chalking, or cracking

4. Apply your paint with an airless sprayer, but brush and roll is fine too.

• The paint sits on top of it, since it is concrete, and it will not penetrate, so no need to force it into the substrate.

5. Let it dry for a couple of days.
