After years of professional painting as a franchise owner for a national brand, Idaho Paint Solutions formed to provide a better experience for customers and employees. Founded by Will Jensen, Idaho Paint Solutions provides many different choices when it comes to painting your properties and possessions. We understand the stress that can come with painting a home. Our job is to take away your stress and turn it into peace of mind knowing your property is getting the attention it deserves. Our goal from day one has remained the same: Support your vision, figure out how to make it happen, and deliver on our promise. We exclusively use Sherwin-Williams painting products, can paint with over a thousand colors, and can color match to almost anything you want.
We've been all around the valley including: Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Emmett, Garden City, Hidden Springs, Homedale, Kuna, Marsing, Melba, Meridian, Middleton, Nampa, Notus, Star, and Wilder.
Before It All Began:
It turns out, Will's dad was a summer house painter back in the 1980s. Born in Caldwell, raised in Nampa, he learned the trade while helping someone else. He painted the house Will grew up in several times, instilling in him his exceptional work ethic and diverse skill set. His dedication to various skills set a foundation for him, even though painting wasn't his primary focus.
The Beginning:
Nampa, Will's birthplace, was his home for the first 18 years of his life. After high school, he ventured to Moscow, Idaho, delving into musical performance and securing an orchestra scholarship. Fate led him to pivot his academic focus to painting houses the following summer, working to cover rent. His roommate, coincidentally his boss and the franchise owner, sparked his entrepreneurial desire, driving him to persist in the field.
The transformative journey began as he transitioned from a painter to a jobsite manager, eventually leading his crew. Entering the franchisee pool unexpectedly paved the way for an exciting venture as a Franchise Owner. The decision to return to Nampa marked the start of a challenging yet rewarding journey, devoid of college burnout.
The initial year demanded 3200 hours of unwavering dedication, navigating business intricacies, and honing skills. Impeccable painting abilities met the challenge of accurately measuring homes and determining fair job values. Armed with over 50 years of painting data, he immersed himself in learning, building confidence, and experience. The subsequent year saw another 3200 hours dedicated to the business, balancing work with college at Boise State.
The third year came by, and he was offered the opportunity to mentor other franchise owners in the western part of the United States. While running his franchise, he was also helping others run theirs. He had a full-time workload in school, was completing a dozen projects a month, and beginning to get comfortable. Then COVID-19 happened.
As the Journey Evolved:
The pandemic allowed work to continue, but it complicated things a tad. While people weren't going out on vacation, they were spending their already budgeted funds on home improvement. There was more work than anticipated, and because of this, we were able to stay busy and still follow proper protocols regarding safety for everyone. The transition from operating a franchise to an independently owned company meant lower prices for consumers, but the main focus remained on providing unparalleled quality and customer service. By supporting a small, local business with humble beginnings in Nampa, Idaho, you'll have a dedicated team committed to exceeding your expectations.

Trusting someone to do a project for you can be a scary process, especially if it's your first time having someone else do it. Because we believe in finding a way to achieve your vision, we want to make sure we address every thing you're looking for in a new painting project.
This process includes:
1. Scheduling an appointment
- There is a great benefit in getting extra details about the scope of the project.
2. Phone call
- We will confirm the appointment and we'll ask some basic questions about the project in its entirety.
3. The actual appointment
- We ask that all decision makers are present during the estimate, this way any questions can be answered and we can reduce the time on coming to a decision! Our goal is to service you the absolute best way we can, and it's much easier when all parties are involved at the time of the appointment.
4. Agreement and commitment
- We've discussed everything you're seeking, agreed on all things being painted, for a set price. Documentation is received and an agreement is signed, then a deposit is placed to ensure we can get your project started.
5. Select a time period in our schedule
- Part of our promise is to make sure we begin your project as close to your desired date as possible. Once you're signed up, our policy is to select a "window" of time, so we can ensure your home is began within that period. We understand that delays may occur like rain, sickness, fire, or other variations out of our control, so we use a first-come-first-serve policy, so it's fair for all clientele.
6. You'll know your time when you're next in line
- We believe in communicating from start to finish so there aren't any unanswered questions. Because of our first-come-first-serve policy, we know when you're next, and we will contact you to confirm the logistics and time for the powerwash. Getting your home powerwashed is the best tell-all that we're beginning the service to your home in the next 24-72 hours.
7. Powerwash
- The day of the powerwash, whether it be a morning or afternoon, is the first step to beginning your project. It is important to clean the surface of your home before doing any work, so we can ensure a long-lasting, protective finish.
8. Day one of the project
- On day one, we will begin by showing up with all materials necessary to complete the home. We will spend this day prepping your home from taping, masking, caulking, scraping, sanding, priming and anything discussed. We will take part of this day to do a thorough walkaround, so the crew knows what's happening, the approach we're taking day by day, the parts of the home we're prioritizing over others to complete first, and a method for victory so we can see the path to the end.
9. Day by day
- We will communicate with you throughout the day and let you know when we're wrapping up at the end of each day. To keep you in the loop, we'll cover what we had done and what the next day will look like, and keep doing this until the last day of the project.
10. Day of completion
- On the day of completion, our plan is to finalize your home. We will inspect each side multiple times, and do touchups by color, if presented. By having multiple sets of eyes on each side, focusing on one color at a time, we can promise thoroughness and completion. We will try to time this with closing out the job, so all we have to do is clean up, pack up, and leave your remaining paint leftovers.

- It's always fun to see the transformation, so we take pride in capturing photos throughout the process of changing your home. We will send you all the photos via text or through email between 24-72 hours after your home has been finalized.
